Almost there...

Whew!!! What an adventure Comp II has been...with "blogging|" & writing my final project, I must say that I have truly enjoyed the ride and all its challenges and that they all have definitely been great learning experiences, Thanks Prof. Feraldi. : )
As for how I feel about my final paper... at this point, I am too tired to be nervous about what grade I will achieve for my effort, I am just relieved and happy that I got it accomplished to the best of my abilities and submitted on time...it had me wondering in the final hours, but I made it...Yeah!!!!!!!!!!

My thoughts about our "bLoGGiNg" Adventure...

I have to say that it did take a "bit" to get the hang of it, but the experience was none too painful, once I found my way around...LOL.
And I have really enjoyed reading all the different postings and regret that I have not always had time to respond and comment as much as I would have liked, so please don't anyone take this personal. ok? And although, I don't know about everyone else, I feel that this is probably how the majority of us has felt through this adventure..not enough time in the day.
(Definitely LiFe, Right?)
I really do hope to continue my blog after this class and also hope that others will too, because it is fun sharing life's adventures with friends..and by the way HB, I really enjoy your "Hoomanisms" and definitely am hoping that you continue with them, very inspirational. : )
Have a Great Week All & Best of Luck in Your Writing Journeys.

My thoughts on "peer reviews"...

I am all for "peer reviews," they help in giving me advice on what my paper may or may not need fixed. Like say if some parts may need to be reworded on my paper or whether or not it seems to be flowing easily from one part of a subject to the next.
All this "free" advice helps bring me valuable insight and better enables me to turn in a better paper.
In my last few terms we have also used "peer reviews" to some extent and I have to say I truly look forward to my fellow classmates input. : )
But of course, in order to get input you must have something for them to read and at this point I am still working on my draft because I haven't been feeling well at all, I seemed to feel better right around Christmas then right after it, I come down with a bad cold that has hit me good in my head, throat and chest..Ugh.
But I am determined to get this draft turned in one way or another, even though I have already lost points for lateness, because I still would really like a chance of others input on my work, so as long as I continue to feel better as I have started to I will be getting it in soon.

...the past six weeks

I have to say the past six weeks have been interesting and challenging, both academically and personally. Especially the past month trying to get stuff ready for Christmas and all the stress that goes along with that, as well as trying to keep up with classes, which for the most part I have done pretty well , at least up until this week and having to deal with trying to get over whatever this "bug" is that found me, which is such a pain when there is so many other things that need doing ....I just didn't have time for this, but I guess _ _ it happens or should say did happen, along with our only car deciding it wasn't going to start and then having to be towed to mechanic to be figured out, thank goodness though I am feeling much better and the car just needed a new starter, so we will have it back tomorrow in time for the rest of the week's Christmas plans with loved ones.  : )

Have A MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL & A HAPPY and SAFE NEW YEAR!!!
May God Bless You & Yours...

~ My thoughts on returning to school & ...

I feel returning to school has had a positive influence on my life, it has given me a much better outlook on our future. Before returning to school I had been kind of drifting and unsure of what I wanted to do next, I was and am still unemployed, but having made a career goal my life seems much more focused. And hopefully soon, my almost two years of being unemployed will end, I have my fingers crossed that right after Christmas I will be working, I have had two interviews so far and all seems to be looking pretty good, it is only part-time but at this time all I care about is getting employed to be able to help more with supporting my partner and I, along with our kids that always seem to need a helping hand now and again.
Returning to school has also helped in rebuliding my self-confidence as well, especially now that I am in my fourth term here at Kaplan University "Online." I do have to say though that the first few terms here were a bit rough with getting used to doing homework and all that goes with being back in school, especially after thirty years, pretty weird and nerve wracking...LOL. But once I got my goals figured out and learned more about how to manage my time; it all has seemed to fall into place fairly well.
Of course as you can see by this posting, that I was hoping to have done earlier; my time management is still some weeks more than others a "work in progress."

Wow..Can't believe we are almost halfway through this term : )

I feel we need to cite our sources in our writing out of respect for the person of whom the work or ideas, etc. belong to, I know I would not like it if someone used my work without giving proper credit. Afterall, it is only fair and it also safeguards us in case the information we retrieved from someone turned out to be false.
I do think too, that the lines have been blurred on the internet as far as "legally owned" especially on sites such as "wikipedia" because it is hard to know the difference between the "truths" and "untruths", let alone what work or idea belongs to whom or where it even originated in some cases. I do however  like this site to aid in searches because you can sometimes find very useful links.
Hope everyone has a great week..See Ya'll in Discussion!!!

" Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, we sure did...

Hello All!!!
I enjoy being an online student mainly because of the flexibility it allows me. I love being able to attend class in my "pjs" if I wish, not having to worry about how I'm getting to class since my partner and I share only one vehicle and she works outside the home and also the challenges it has brought into my life, like setting goals, working out study schedules and sticking to them,(still working on that some days more thn others..LOL), so that I can get all my assignments done and on time for each week.

Online learning has also helped build up my self confidence and has enabled me to prove to myself that even though it has been thirty years since I have been in school that I really can "do" this and continue to learn.

As for ways to create a closer class community, I feel this new "blogging" adventure is a great step in the right direction, to me it gives all of us as a class, a better chance of getting to know one another by being able to share alittle more of lives and selves on a personal level, as well as still adding to our academic experience.
Have a great week & Happy Posting All,
Jodie : )

Hello Everyone : )

Here goes, my very first post ...
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend, ours is going great, yesterday our grandaughters that had been living in Arizona the past few years, have now moved back to Michigan and we are getting to spend some much missed time with them...my how they have grown!!!
Well, I think I have it figured out, so that now all my fellow adventurers of the blogging world will be able to leave their comments, Thank You Professor Feraldi for bringing this to my attention about not being able to leave a comment, much appreciated. When I set my blog up, I just thought that it was something that was already included in your layout, but today found out different..LOL...hope it works.
Please let me know through class discussion if I still have not fixed it properly. : ) "thanks"
That's all for now, I better get my tail back to work, still need to get my initial post on the board... See Ya There!!!
